Allspice

Allspice is a dried berry-like fruit of a West Indian allspice tree. It has a similar flavor to cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg with a subtle hint of black pepper. Allspice is a popular spice for baking, desserts, fruit dishes, sweet potatoes, squash, and turnips.

Basil

Basil is a leafy herb that is a member of the mint family and the dried leaves have a fragrant aroma faintly reminiscent of anise with a warm, sweet, aromatic, mildly pungent flavor. Basil goes with many dishes, especially poultry, tomato based dishes, sauces, cooked vegetables, and seafood.

Bay Leaves

Bay Leaves are a strong, pungent herb that should be used carefully. Bay Leaves are ideal for slow simmering soups and stews because they release their strong aromatic oils slowly. Great in sauces, casseroles, and beef and lamb dishes. Also a key ingredient in Pickling Spice.

Chili Powder

Warm, mellow, earthy flavor. Often used in Mexican and Southwest cuisines for sauces, eggs, poultry and meat dishes. Combines well with cilantro, basil, and ginger providing a mildly spicy, roasted chile flavor.

Cinnamon

This popular spice comes from the inner bark of a tree in the laurel family. It is a fragrant, slightly sweet spice that is great in baked goods, puddings, and chocolate.

Cumin

Cumin is an olive-brown powder which has a warm, earthy flavor. Often an ingredient in chili powder and curry. Common in Mexican dishes, deviled eggs, chili, soups, pork and cheese dishes.

Granulated Garlic

Dried garlic in granule form with a bold aroma and flavor. Used in many meat, poultry, fish, and vegetable dishes, as well as dressings and dips.

Roasted Granulated Garlic

This roasted garlic in granule form, has a toasted color and flavor. Used in many meat, poultry, fish, and vegetable dishes, as well as dressings, dips and sauces.

Granulated Onion

Our Granulated Onion has a characteristic sweet pungent flavor and comes in dried form, finely granulated. Sweet when cooked, it's a basic ingredient to many meats, poultry, seafood, soups, stews, and a variety of side dishes.

Oregano

Our Oregano is in whole leaf form with a strong aroma and warm pungent taste. This robust flavor is often used in Mediterranean cuisine. Blends well with tomatoes, eggplant and poultry. Great in tomato sauces, pizza and salad dressings.

Paprika

This warm, earthy, slightly pungent spice has a bright red color and is made from the pod of a sweet red pepper. Made from dried, ripe fruit of Capsicum annum; has mild, sweet flavor. Use in eggs, stew, game, fish, soups, vegetables, sauces, meat, poultry, salads, and shellfish.

Parsley

This mild, fresh, aromatic, green herb is not only used to add color to a variety of dishes, but is also used to flavor sauces, stews, soups, rice, fish, roasts, pasta, vegetables, and eggs.

Ground Black Pepper

Ground Black Pepper has a hot, biting, piney flavor; use on meat, poultry, seafood, sauces, stews, salads, dressings, soups, pasta, cheese, and breads.

Red Crushed Pepper

Small, flat, red and yellow seeds from chili peppers. Use when hot, spicy flavor is desired. Often used in Italian, Thai and Indian cuisine.

Ground White Pepper

Our Ground White Pepper is finely ground and gives off an earthy-hot flavor with pungent, biting, musty notes. Often used in delicate, light-colored sauces.

Sesame Seed Blend

A blend of black and toasted sesame seeds. Widely used in baked goods. Common on breads and crackers.
